National Institute of Technology (NIT, Tiruchirappalli) Admission

NIT Trichy offers 4year specialization in 9 different fields that come under the B.Tech program. For the final seat allotments, the students are required to qualify from the JEE Mains exam and participate in the JoSAA counseling. 

The admission process involves other national level exams, like GATE, CAT, IIT JAM, NIMCET for the programs such as M.Tech, MBA, MSc, MCA respectively.

NIT Trichy UG -Admission Steps

• For admission to B.tech/B.Arch program at NIT Trichy, candidates must first and foremost fulfill the eligibility. 

• Apply, appear and qualify for the JEE Main for B.Tech and JEE Main Paper 2 for B.Arch.

• Candidates have to register for JoSAA counseling and select NIT Trichy as their first choice during the choice filling in the counseling process.

• After the seat allotment, get the document verified and pay the college fee.

Admissions for NRI students:

For admission to Undergraduate courses of Engineering and Architecture programs in premium institutions like NIT’s, IIIT’s, SPA’s, and CFTI’s (Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes), students can refer to DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad). The admission is based on the valid JEE (Main)rank and the Applicant should have completed successfully Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) in 11th AND / OR 12th, as applicable in the respective boards.
